The Institute of Health and Community Medicine was founded in 1995 with the goal of studying diseases important in the region. Today, almost 8 years later, we've come a long way towards achieving our goals. We have state-of- the-art lab facilities which allow us to pursue multiple areas of research, ranging from modern cell and tissue culture, genetic engineering to analytical chemistry. We have a talented academic staff dedicated to investigating the causes and treatments of disease. Most importantly, we have created and continue to strengthen links within our community and are have contributed greatly health issues relevant to the people of Sarawak.
