Dr Wong Kiing Aik
Post-Doctoral Researcher
My PhD position allows me to satisfy my keen interest in medical virology and acquired specialised knowledge on measles, mumps, rubella, varicella zoster virus, herpes simplex type 1 and type 2 viruses. I also have been involved in research that used a range of virological approaches to develop a new cancer treatment (Virotherapy), by using pseudotyped lentivirus.
Currently, my study is mainly focusing on tropical infectious diseases that are common in Sarawak. Area of interest: Molecular Epidemiology and Molecular Virology.
