SPECIFIC FUNCTION LABORATORIES

CONFOCAL ROOM

This room is equipped with research equipment like a confocal microscope. The primary functions of a confocal microscope are to produce a point source of light and reject out-of-focus light, which provides the ability to image deep into tissues with high resolution, and optical sectioning for 3D reconstructions of imaged samples.

MICROSCOPE CONFOCAL SYSTEM

Confocal microscopy, most frequently confocal laser scanning microscopy or laser scanning confocal microscopy, is an optical imaging technique for increasing optical resolution and contrast of a micrograph by means of using a spatial pinhole to block out-of-focus light in image formation.
